These are a few travel and lifestyle-related questions I almost always get from folks I meet so figured I’d make a blog post out of it, and maybe you’ll get to know me a tad bit better in the process as well! Here we go…

Celebrated purely out of my love for good old white bread. Yes, I hear it is unhealthy and I almost never eat it though I could survive on just white bread for the rest of my life if I had to. If I do eat a sandwich then white bread is my choice. You can never go wrong ordering a sandwich for me ever. But I digress. Today is not about me, its about the bread, so lets talk best sandwiches ever eaten in my travel life thus far! Maybe some of these are on your list too?
Quite frankly, can’t image why anyone would be stressed while traveling but I hear it is pretty common. There are obviously some factors beyond your control but for what its worth, you can reduce some of the stressors during your travels.
Working full-time freelance from home most of the time and traveling as part of my work the rest of the time means sleep patterns aren’t always guaranteed but over the years, there are some known tactics I’ve observed work for me so sharing it here if it helps you as well! Of course, not all beds are as comfy and neither are all bedrooms as cozy as this pic above clicked at the Akakura Onsen in Japan during my trip there last year. Slept like a tired baby after a day full of activity but I know falling asleep that easy is not always possible. Here's what works for me, like a charm, every single time:
Chanced upon a brand new product and am mighty glad I did. I would have probably never thought to buy it on my own so being introduced to something this fab is great. I am always on the lookout for products that I can use as I travel or am on the go given how crazy life can be sometimes so this product is just perfect! Enough of a build-up already? I'm talking about Not Your Mother's® Way to Grow™ Leave-In Conditioner!
Some fantastic reads in this month’s issue of Website Magazine, especially if you are in the midst of revamping your website, social media, and online presence in general.
Two travel related stories caught my eye this month, and one other that I thought was a great read too!
Mighty excited to find this cutesy in my mailbox today when least expected! Something fun about a surprise like this sitting there just waiting for you...not very often in my adult life that I've gotten gifts that I enrolled for myself, ha! So here goes...
Every once in a while I come across a brand, local company or boutique that offers products at a price that I see value spending on. Nothing wrong heading to the mall or designer boutique but its very hard for me to justify spending my hard-earned money on an outfit that I can possibly only wear to a few select events in the future. So I was pretty excited to hear of Entourage Clothing & Gifts and fell in love with their jewelry and clothing - everything for under $42, well, yes please! Here's a few things that caught my eye, and yes, they are travel related so hope you like the curated picks coming up!

When I mention to folks how much I love travel, most of them look at me like I came from another planet – this is beyond anything they can fathom! Many find travel, especially air travel, extremely stressful and taxing, and in fact, avoid travel entirely just so they don’t have to tolerate flying to their destination. That, to me, would be a death sentence! I haven’t traveled anywhere in a while and I am itching to head out on the get go so here are my 7 secrets to stress-free flying that I hope will help you!

I had the opportunity to read a review copy of a Island Journeys, a book on how the island way of life impacts one's life at home and away.
The very mention of islands has me thinking of beautiful beaches and lively weather, a resort trip, scenes of carnival and calypso music playing. Images of cricket teams and Machel Montano singing. A getaway from every day life elsewhere in the world. But the author Carlisle Richardson, a native of St Kitts and Nevis, is quick to point out that there is more to these island states that meets the eye. “I understand why tropical islands are sometimes considered paradise,” he says. A United Nations economic-affairs officer, he shares,“As a native islander, I feel and believe in this sentiment myself. But I also know that island living presents challenges that are much more complex than lying in the sand or enjoying a cool island breeze.”
This new line of gourmet flavors based on the life and adventures of Ernest Hemingway is out! The traveler and writer in me are equally overjoyed :) Each flavor is based on Hemingway’s epic travels and exciting life - a zingy cocktail sauce, a sweet yet hot grilling sauce, a smoky hot sauce, a sea salt with a citrusy, garlic tang, and a distinctive Bloody Mary Mix - E.H. Gourmet has brought the legendary life and work of Hemingway to the table!
Exercising when traveling is tough work. Takes a lot of determination to keep up the will to even get out of bed sometimes. And who’s to say any of your traveling companions, that’s if you are lucky to have any, will actually partner in your morning run? Here’s where the HEAT running app comes handy – it turns your fitness routine into a game – with competitors, in real-time!
Who doesn't enjoy a good glass of wine? Imagine my surprise then when these beauties arrived in the mail, that too just in time for the long weekend. They'd make perfect gifts to share with the new AirBnB friends we were staying with in Chattanooga. Farm-to-Table, artisanal wines are the focus of The California Wine Club which sets the bar for providing superior wines to its members. They personally visit and source bottles ONLY from local vineyards and wineries, supporting the families behind them. These wineries typically produce less than 10,000 cases of wine a year, meaning they usually aren't on the radar of distributors and have little chance of being carried in a retail location. Previously, the only way to taste the wines from these boutique wineries was to take a trip to California but now, The California Wine Club can introduce you to these small wineries through their website. I enjoyed Victor Vineyards Pinto Noir and Chardonnay immensely - a great addition to my faves, but go ahead and try any of the wines offered by the club. Use this link here and the code RW15 for 15% off anything on the site, including memberships, wine by the case or half case...Salud!
