The Acadian people, descendants of the original French settlers occupying the northeastern region of North America, have called New Brunswickhome since the 1600s. The Acadian Coast spans nearly 250 miles along the eastern seaboard of the province, with the Acadian Peninsula jutting into the Gulf of St. Lawrence. English and French are both spoken in New Brunswick, Canada’s only bilingual province, and its Acadian heritage offers rich cultural experiences all along the coast. Here are a few ideas if you decide to visit!

Whistler Adventures - a one-stop activity booking site - has launched in Whistler following the resort’s snowiest December. A record 384 centimeters of snow fell in the month of December, and generous snowfall has continued into January, attracting a surge of tourists ahead of Martin Luther King Day and the annual Winter Pride event. The Whistler Adventures site is ideal if you are planning trips around those events.
The platform allows booking of extensive (and locally recommended) itineraries for family adventures, business trips, celebrations & parties, and special events, with the most popular activities all in one place. Activities include skiing and snowboarding, bear watching, zip lining, golf, motorsports, axe throwing and white-water rafting to name a few. In addition to activity bookings, the site also has recommendations for sightseeing, places to stay and places to eat, and has handy guides to plan a trip to Whistler at any time of year. Created by Canadian entrepreneur Jenny Anderson, the platform makes travel planning in Whistler easier, and eradicates the need for separate booking websites. For further inspiration, you can contact the Whistler Adventures team too who will create the perfect itinerary just for you! I haven't visited the area yet but sure will be using some of the information from this site to plan.

Weather gods decided to play party poopers today. Landing into Cancun was through bumpy cloud cover and reasonable downpour, though the greenery from above was a welcome sight. The immigration process was fairly quick but lines were long. Information received later was that sometimes chartered flights arrive at the same time as commercial flights, which if they do, you just need to be ready for the mass exodus of people waiting at the same time for documentation. The transfer to Hotel Fiesta Americana Condesa was convenient via private cab. I was here for the Cancun Travel Mart - appears so were many others!
Can any travel journey truly be zero waste? Looks like Natural Habitat Adventures is spearheading the world’s first zero waste trip, a travel-industry first, on the July 6-12, 2019 departure of Safari America: Yellowstone Country. Fourteen travelers will join this pioneering endeavor in which the company’s goal is to divert (refuse, recycle, compost, upcycle, or re-use) 99 percent or more of all waste produced as part of any trip operations sponsored by them.
