The Four Seasons Resort Orlando presented a media lunch by Executive Chef Fabrizio Schenardi and Capa Chef Gabriel Massip for Los Angeles press members at Culina in the Four Seasons Beverly Hills to introduce some of the highlights from their resort at Walt Disney World in Florida. ‘A Taste of Magic’ included select plates for a three-course tasting extravaganza.
The Kaua’i tourism board hosted a press luncheon at Palm Restaurant to update media on the latest happenings on the Garden Island. The afternoon featured a few speakers and presentations over the course of a casual supper enjoyed together and blessed by one of the staff members. Kaua’i is the northernmost island and the oldest of the islands. It is the fourth largest and has a human heart shaped appearance on the map.
I had the pleasure of attending a fun plant based, zero waste cooking demo with the lovely Scheherezade Daftary of The Delightful Table. Held at the Sky Lounge of the newly opened Line Lofts in Hollywood, it was an intimate setting with Scheherezade leading our group, teaching some useful knife skills, practical food storage tips and hands on prep with veggies so as to focus on meal plan and prep. We even had a fun cooking contest of sorts with everyone in the group making their own creations with the ingredients provided to enjoy a community lunch after. If you know me, I organize my weekly meals on Sundays and enjoy the freedom that gives me during the week to focus on my work and other professional commitments. Sharing here some of my takeaways from the day and two quick and easy recipes she shared with the group that I’ve already made a staple in my kitchen!

When you get an invitation titled ‘Wine made for Food’ from Domaine Laroche Chablis, you reply in good grace with an astounding ‘Yes!’... So let’s get this straight - Domaine Laroche is synonymous with Chablis. At least, to me it is, and I am not even a Chablis fanatic. It is just how I know it to be.
Enjoyed this beautiful mid-day meal as part of a press luncheon at the beautiful Casa Del Mar property right by the ocean in Santa Monica. The week-long limited engagement features chefs from the Grand Hotel Quisisana at Hotel Casa Del Mar - what a treat!
