Vermont’s Fall Foliage among the World’s Best

I have never visited the place, and it is high on my list, but I hear some of the best fall foliage in the world can be experienced in Vermont. Three-quarters of the state is forested, they have the highest percentage of maple trees in the country and the most vibrant fall colors in the world can be seen in their flaming reds, blazing oranges and glowing yellows. Vermont’s abundant spring rain and summer sunshine have created the right conditions for a spectacular fall in 2015. Add to that Vermont’s unique landscape of bucolic villages, pastoral meadows, and forested hillsides, and I guess you do have a winner. I also hear they have more than 100 covered bridges, inspiring steeples and moonlight views, billboard free dives and those picture postcard vistas that have you motivated and yearning for more, forever views, bed and breakfasts galore, harvest markets aplenty, and country stores with varieties of beer and cheese that entice.
