Enjoy a three-course prix-fix menu 10am-10pm featuring French fare including a selection of lobster ravioli, wild burgundy escargots, braised lamb shank, roasted Mediterranean sea bass, and indulgent dessert selections, such as chocolate baba and an oversized fresh raspberry macaron. The restaurant’s neighboring gift shop, La Boutique, will also offer an extensive selection of handpicked French imports—a perfect source for last-minute Mother’s Day gifts.
The newly opened farm-traceable restaurant just launched a “seed-to-plate” brunch program, and Executive Farmer Nathan Peitso is excited to offer a prix-fixe menu and à-la-carte dishes on Mother’s Day. Savor a selection of hyper-local ingredients in the form of peas and burrata salad and a breakfast pizza topped with fresno chilis. Main course options includeFrench toast with local bananas, fine herb and goat cheese omelets, and steak and eggs. I attended the grand opening of this space and not only does it offer a great ambience but also some amazing food prepared by chef and team.
As a thank you to moms everywhere, Halo Top will scoop a special Mother’s Day Sundae loaded with guilt-free strawberry soft serve, sliced strawberries, cheesecake bites, and whipped cream on an limited-run cinnamon sugar “snickerdoodle” puffle cone from May 11-13. With every Mother’s Day Sundae purchase, you can also pick up a $1-off pint card so they can build their very own low-sugar, low-calorie, high-protein sundaes at home without any of the guilt. TheWest Hollywood location will have a brunch buffet featuring a Bloody Mary cart for tableside building.
LA’s modernized Japanese restaurant offers a decadent three-course prix-fixe menu to celebrate mom, accompanied by an à la carte specials menu. Highlights from the brunch menu include maguro carpaccio, 6-piece sushi assortment and spicy tuna roll, grilled salmon, jidori free range chicken, and kumquat panna cotta. The specials menu includes a salmon trio and the inventive Mother’s Day chocolate bomb. The Santa Monica location will have Mother’s Day specials for the evening and a complimentary glass of sparkling rosé for all the moms. The Pasadena location will be serving the regular menu but will give moms a complimentary carnation.
To experience the full range of flavors and culinary styles that Katana has to offer, the restaurant will serve a four-course prix-fixe menu on Mother’s Day featuring nashi salad, sake ringo, hanabi (spicy tuna on crispy rice), miso shrimp, anassortment of skewers including salmon, seabass, chicken and lamb as well as the restaurant’s namesake Katana roll andwhite lotus roll.
The four-course prix-fixe brunch will showcase sophisticated Japanese-inspired fare developed with a playful twist. Brunch includes king crab brulée followed by filet mignon, ume matsu sushi and roll, and an indulgent mint chocolate volcano. Not to be forgotten is the complimentary glass of bubbly given to all moms on their special day.
