Egg House, a funky egg-themed pop-up, has opened its third location amid the boutiques and cafes on Melrose Place. Unlike the previous two stops, the LA location will run for one month only, without any extension. Or so they say at this time but we'll see ;)
The story of Egg House begins when a lovable egg was born on the other side of the world and travels to New York where he eventually settles down. After one eventful day, he falls asleep and dreams of a fancy house, then hops in a yellow cab and boards on a plane to Shanghai. Now its story continues as it dreams of coming back to the States and traveling through LA. You will find some of LA’s most iconic scenes as the backdrops for the innovatively staged areas. A great play spot for kids and a suitable ambience for content creators to go crazy taking photos and videos.
Stationed in a 12,000 square foot sunlit space on Melrose Place in West Hollywood, which is four times the size of New York's, Egg House features 12 scenes showing LA's must-see attractions and four snack stations serving free egg-themed pick-me-ups. Among the 12 scenes, a few of the highlights include a 750 square foot pink and blue basketball court paying respect to the Staples Center, a beach scene illustrating the Santa Monica Pier, and a miniature room filled with tiny tableware inviting guests to the perfect brunch in LA.
Egg House's New York and Shanghai locations have received an enormous amount of attention among press and influencers. The pop-up brand is deemed as one of the early trendsetters for the new pop-up museum phenomenon. According to the press release, The New York location alone gained 60,000 visits in merely three months, with over 1,000 visits per day on some weekends. Biubiu Xu, founder of Egg House, is planning on sending the egg to more eggventures soon to share the joy and universal love of eggs.
Tickets include admission, complimentary egg-shaped snacks and interactive temporary tattoo. The gift shop offers various "eggcessories" for purchase, such as jewelry, tote bags, phone covers, socks, etc. Tickets are now available on TheEggHouse.com. Have an eggciting time!
