As a frequent traveler, I know by now better than to travel with no snacks in my bags, both carry on and check in. Given how many variables there are that I cannot control when traveling, I prefer to always have some goodies on my just in case there are delays in flight times or airports closed for the day, or no shops open at final destination when I land. Here are a few goodies I learned of recently and I enjoyed them enough to want to share them with you!
Ceres organic smoothie to go
I have to be honest that I have never been a fan of these packaged smoothies so I typically stay away from them but I enjoyed the mango, tropical and apple flavors of this smoothie to go. Add to that the fact that it is organic, has no sugar added and contains pure fruit, you know you have a winner right there. These are great to grab and go even when you are on a walk or heading from one spot to another. I enjoyed these heading over to a work meeting or even as a quick pick me up after a strenuous workout. Not terribly sweet and in the right portion amounts that you don’t feel forced to have to finish it – although you could just choose to have it over a period of time since these come with twist on caps anyway.
Edamame fusion snacks on the go
I do love a good trail mix so this felt like a healthier trail mix version or more like a loose-leaf version if you will. A little salty, sweet, crunchy and overall good. I slipped a few of these into my workbag, purse, car and even snack on it during the day after a workout or for a quick snack. These are gluten, sulfur and preservative free and a good source of iron, protein and fiber. Shared some with my friends and they enjoyed it too. This might soon become a staple in my arsenal of healthy snack options.
Simply delish instant pudding and pie filling
I tried the natural chocolate flavor though there are others as well. These I love carrying with me on my travels in my check in – so easy to make, done within minutes and enjoyed even faster. They are a great sweet treat in the instant pudding form for after a meal, as a snack or even for breakfast with some berries. The consistency is dense so like a thicker mousse than a lighter custard and a whole pack can actually be shared between a few people so if its just you then that one pack goes a long way for one person.
